Based on this philosophy, we have
proudly created and offer the following
programs in our communities.
We provide environmentally sound initiatives through the design and operation of our community. In particular, we emphasize energy conservation and protecting our natural resources in everything we do.
Where our residents’ comfort and environmentally sound management intersect is the true goal of SeniorGreen®. Join us in our efforts to help our seniors leave the legacy they always intended; an earth well loved and cared for, to be enjoyed by generations to come.
Our program seeks to appreciate that our residents are as varied in their interests as any generation ever was. They want and need to stay physically and mentally alive and healthy. We developed the S.T.A.R. Program® to not just meet the needs of our residents, but to exceed them by surprising and delighting them with something new to look forward to every week!
As part of our S.T.A.R. Program®, we have partnered with a nationally recognized leader in cognitive enhancement programs to create The Brain Gym. These programs, which include the nationally recognized My Vigorous Mind™ and MyWay Village programs, are tailored for our residents and offered on specially adapted touch screen computer systems. In addition, these fun and proven mental gymnastic programs are extended to seniors in the Dartmouth and SouthCoast area as part of our commitment to be a good neighbor in the town.
This initiative is unique in that we
partner with local growers and
producers of vegetables, fruits,
herbs, and seafood to create a
dining experience that focuses on local tastes, freshness, and seasonal food. We have learned over the years that age does not lessen the desire for fresh, quality dining, it often enhances it! We know our residents want to eat corn when it is fresh, not frozen or shipped from California. We know they are accustomed to fresh seafood, not processed and frozen offerings. We are proud to be able to offer this wonderful dining experience at Autumn Glen.
Our residents enjoy pure honey from Lady L. Apiary of Acushnet, MA, cranberries from the Beaton Family in Wareham, MA, perfectly ripe heirloom tomatoes from Orr’s Farm in Westport, MA, fresh lobsters from Tony’s Seafood in Warren, RI, ripe fruit from Dartmouth Orchards and Noquochoke Orchards in Dartmouth and Westport, MA respectively. Delicious wine may come from Running Brook Vineyard and Winery with beer from Buzzard’s Bay Brewing, Inc. Bon appetite!
