Autumn Glen Celebrates Assisted Living Week with the theme:
Traditions of the Heart
The week will kick off with an appropriately themed Inservice: Cardiac Care on the latest information on how to take care of your heart. This will be presented by The American Heart Association.
During the week (dates to be announced), the following guests will provide musical entertainment:
• Bruce Pratt, a famous classical pianist playing heart felt music and love songs from
famous composers
• The Heart Strings present a rousing sing-along for residents and guests
• Sue Lainey, a Joan Baez-style vocalist will serenade us with love songs
Sunday, September 19th 2 - 4 pm • Vintage Car Show & Traditional Sock Hop
This event will wrap up Assisted Living Week in style, and when you see the amazing vintage cars, you will know that the cars are the “sweethearts” of this event! Free and open to the public.
Tuesday, September 22 • Falls Prevention Day
In honor of Falls Prevention Day, we will demonstrate the importance of exercise and fall prevention through Traditional Exercise Classes as well as Yoga and I Chuan Classes.

Saturday, October 17 • A Taste of Fall
Our annual Taste of Fall event is free and open to the public and features apple and peach pies and pastries. Ciders from local orchards and specialty coffees will also be available to highlight our Eat Fresh/Eat Local signature dining program. We will also host a Halloween Party through our intergenerational program for the children at Potter Elementary School.
Friday, October 30 • Resident and Employee Halloween Party
Residents don’t want to miss our traditional Halloween party for both employees and residents. All are encouraged to dress for the affair, and be ready to enjoy tasty treats with no tricks!

Thursday, November 5 • Las Vegas Night
Evening cocktail party celebrating our second annual Las Vegas Night. “Gamble” the evening away or just relax and enjoy the entertainment provided by the absolutely amazing Richard Burns who plays both saxophone and guitar as well as singing and dancing. No one is ever a loser at Vegas Night!!
Thursday, November 26 • Thanksgiving Dinner
We celebrate Thanksgiving with a traditional New England Turkey Dinner and all the fixings in our beautifully decorated dining rooms.

Wednesday, December 2 • Trip to LaSallete Shrine
We will head to LaSallete Shrine to celebrate the true spirit of the holiday season
Monday, December 7 • Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day
We will remember Pearl Harbor on this day and will honor Peter Gallo, one of our own well-decorated residents. Peter will be the Key Speaker for our WW11 Day of Remembrance.
Tuesday December 8 • Holiday Fashion Show
Our wonderful residents will grace the runway during our Holiday Fashion Show featuring Fashions from Dress Barn.
Sunday, December 13 2-4pm • Annual Home for the Holidays
Our annual Home for the Holidays party will feature our traditional ten beautifully decorated Christmas trees and live entertainment by Strolling Victorian Carolers as well as sign - along Christmas Carols with Steve Piazza on the piano. Family, friends and the public are welcome to attend this event. This event will include an assortment of holiday pastries, specialty coffees and a chocolate fountain from Dorothy Cox Chocolates.
Monday, December 21 • Autumn Glen Christmas Party
Residents and their families will enjoy a cocktail party with fellow residents.
